从翻译类型学理论谈翻译策略的选择

On the Choice of Translation Strategies with Reference to Translation Typology

翻译类型学认为,翻译策略的选择需考虑文本类型的差异性。文章立足于文本类型、读者因素、译者因素与翻译策略的交互关系,选用三种不同文本类型的案例代表作为分析对象,探讨其文本特点与功能,分析相应翻译策略的选择,认为翻译类型学不仅能解释已有翻译中的一些现象,还有助于翻译策略的恰当选择。鉴于文本类型的复杂性、文本功能与语言功能的异同性,在使用翻译类型学指导翻译实践时,需权衡读者因素和译者因素的影响力,审慎选择并调整翻译策略。

According to the basic concept of translation typology,different kinds of texts require different translation strategies.Based on the interaction among text type,reader,translator and translation strategy,this paper selects three case representations in different text types as the analysis object,discusses their characteristics and functions and analyzes the appropriate choice of corresponding translation strategies.It is believed that translation typology can not only explains some of the phenomena in the existing translation,but also helps in the choice of translation strategies.In view of the complexity of text types,the similarities and differences between textual functions and linguistic functions,when using translation typology to guide translation practice,it is necessary to judge and weigh the influence of readers and translators,and carefully select and adjust translation strategies.
