摘要
《蒙古族音乐、舞蹈与口头叙述——表演中的多样化身份》(《Mongolian Music, Dance, Oral Narrative:Performing Diverse Identities》)一书,是英国著名人类学家、民族音乐学家卡罗·帕格(Carole Pegg)在跨越中国、蒙古国之后,对蒙古族进行扎实的田野考察的基础上,所撰写的一部表演民族志专著。在详实描述蒙古族音乐表演形式的田野调查中,作者围绕"多元与统一"、"差异与认同"等关键点,通过音乐和表演景观中的表演实践来探究诸多方面——包括个人与族群、个人与社会、个人与自然、个人与宗教、历史与现在等——是如何建立想象中的联系的,诸元素之间又如何建立、维系、巩固包括政治、权力、宗教、性别等社会结构和社会关系的,同时,实践主体又是如何体现以个人自我认同为基础的多层次、多级别的认同的。
Mongolian Music,Dance,Oral Narrative:Performing Diverse Identities is a performing ethnography,written by Carole Pegg,a famous British anthropologist,ethnomusicologist,based on conducting abundant field studies of the Mongol nationality both in China and Mongolia.Through description on the Mongolian musical performance of the fieldwork in details,Pegg centered on several critical points,such as diversity and unity,differences and identification,to explore how these aspects build imaginary connections,including individuals and ethnic groups,individuals and society,individuals and nature,individuals and religion,history and present,and how these elements,politics,rights,religion,and gender included,build,sustain and consolidate social structure and social relationship and how the practical subjects embody the multilevel and multilayer identities depending on the individual self-definition by means of musical forms and performance practice in the performance landscapes.
