中西现代古典丛书说要

Comparative Studies on Classical Series Between China and the West in Modern Time

民国时期,张元济、陆费逵等人利用新兴的出版技术,辑印大型古典丛书,有效地保存和传播了中华传统文化;而现当代王云五等人编印了"文白并行"体例的《学生国学丛书》。新中国成立后,《中国古典文学丛书》《中国古典文学基本丛书》沿用此例,寓古典文化的传承于普及之中。近代以降,西方人编撰出版了多套"古典语言体例"和"古今双语体例"的大型古典学丛书,如果说前者与文言体例的《四部丛刊》等颇相类似的话,那么后者就与"文白并行"式的《学生国学丛书》等也颇有共性。为了共建"人类命运共同体",应该重视对古典著作的系统性的互相译介。

In order to protect the cultural heritage,ZHANG Yuanji,LU Bikui and others edited and printed large amount of classical series with the emerging publishing technology in the era of Republic of China.WANG Yunwu and others compiled The Traditional Cultural Series for Students which were the combination of written and spoken language.After the founding of People’s Republic of China,The Series of Classical Chinese Literature and The Basic Series of Classical Chinese Literature followed the model,which was the inheritance of classical culture in the form of popularization.Since modern times,the westerners compiled and published two kind of classical series,one is the model of classical language,the other is the bilingual model of ancient and modern language.The former is similar to Sibucongkan and Sibubeiyao,the latter is similar to The Traditional Cultural Series for Students and others.To avoid“clash of civilizations”and build a community of shared future for mankind,Chinese and westerners should increase the systematic mutual translation of classical cultural heritage.
