1653年2月23日,著名的《皇家芭蕾夜宴》在罗浮宫的佩蒂特波旁大厅连演七晚。当时,还不满15岁的法国国王路易十四首次登台演出,亲自扮演太阳神阿波罗,“太阳王”的盛名由此传扬开来。但是,随着社会的动荡与变革,这场被载入史书的歌舞盛宴,却消逝在时间里,大量乐谱已经遗失、残缺。

On the evening of February 23, 1653, 15-year-old Louis XIV was feted with the Ballet Royal de la Nuit at the Louvre. He had recently solidified his position after breaking the Fronde.
