从学徒奋斗为"钱业巨子"的秦润卿,在抗战初期的日常生活中充满了忧愁、感叹与无奈,遭受着物价高涨、子女不孝困扰以及身体与心理的双重煎熬,但仍积极投身于支持抗战、救济难民的活动,同时频繁出席各种会议,公私应酬甚多,依然忙碌和充实。太平洋战争爆发后日军侵占上海租界,由于环境改变以及担忧国家命运和民族危亡,秦润卿显得较为悲观,日常生活中的私人应酬、悠闲活动,甚至家庭娱乐内容明显增加,广泛阅读各类书籍成为他打发时光的主要方式之一。但这一时期的秦润卿也并非辞去本兼各职而深居简出,仍然兼任上海市商会常务理事和一些慈善公益团体的理事,并参与相关的一些活动。抗战胜利后,年事已高的秦润卿又积极投身于各项社会活动,并出任全国钱业联合会理事长要职。

Qin Run-qing,who struggled from apprenticeship as a"rich money giant",was full of sorrow,sigh and helplessness in his daily life during the early days of the Anti-Japanese War.He suffered from double prices,high child filial piety and physical and psychological suffering,but he was still actively involved in supporting the activities of the war of resistance and relief of refugees,and attending various meetings frequently,there are many public and private entertainments,and they arestill busy and fulfilling.After the outbreak of the Pacific War,the Japanese army invaded the Shanghai Concession.Due to environmental changes and concerns about the country's destiny and national peril,Qin Run-qing appeared to be more pessimistic.The daily entertainment,leisure activities and even family entertainment contents increased significantly.Reading a wide range of books became his time.One of the main ways,but Qin Run-qing of this period did not resign from this position and lived in a simple and simple way.He still served as the executive director of the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce and some charitable organizations,and participated in some related activities.After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,Qin Runqing,who had a high age,was actively involved in various social activities and served as the chairman of the National Money Industry Association.
