The Record of Yi-Ai Pavilion for Chao Yuanxiu is one of Su Shi's writings and it is not as good as some of his excellent writings in terms of writing skills and cultural values.Now it has been regarded as one of the best in history because of the building of the Yi-Ai Lake Park.The author of this article points out that it is only a courtesy writing through a detailed analysis of its writing time and background.The article concludes that although the building of the Yi-Ai Lake Park has done something good for the people in Huangzhou,the value of The Record of Yi-Ai Pavilion for Chao Yuanxiu should not be overestimated.
