儒释道宽恕思想的文化蕴涵

Cultural Implication of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism's Forgiveness Thought

宽恕是人类最重要的美德之一,西方哲学家、教育学家和心理学家一直占据宽恕研究的支配性和权威性位置,而国内对于宽恕的研究却相对较为匮乏。宽恕,这一带有浓厚宗教色彩的概念在中国文化背景下是否依然适用?笔者在对宽恕进行语义分析的基础上,系统阐释了中国儒释道家宽恕思想的文化蕴涵,并对中西方宽恕思想差异的根源进行了比较。以集体主义为核心、儒释道哲学观为基础的中国文化背景下的宽恕内涵与以个人主义为核心、以宗教思想为基础的西方文化背景下的宽恕内涵虽然存在较大差异,但二者殊途同归,都指向了以爱为核心的人类共同价值追求。

Forgiveness is one of the most important virtues of human beings. Western philosophers, educators and psychologists have always occupied the dominant and authoritative position in the study of forgiveness, while domestic research on forgiveness is relatively scarce.Forgiveness, is this concept with strong religious color still applicable in the context of Chinese culture?Based on the semantic analysis of forgiveness, the author systematically expounds the cultural implications of Chinese Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism’s forgiveness thoughts, and compares the root causes of the differences between Chinese and Western forgiveness thoughts.Although there are great differences between the connotations of forgiveness in the Chinese cultural background with collectivism as the core and Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism philosophy as the basis and in the western cultural background with individualism as the core and religion as the basis, both of them have the same purpose in different ways, which pursue human common values centered on love.
