定州静志寺塔基地宫出土了四件银塔舍利容器,造型精美,技艺精湛。其中隋代鎏金錾花银塔为我国目前发现最早的银塔舍利容器,是中国舍利容器发展史上具有重要意义的经典器型。几件银塔不仅见证了自隋至宋几次瘗埋舍利的过程,而且是研究中国瘗埋银塔舍利容器兴起和发展的重要实物。

Four pieces of silver-tower-shaped Sarira containers have been unearthed at the underground palace of the pagoda of Jing Zhi Temple.The beautiful designs of these Sarira containers display the exquisite craftsmanship of ancient people.Among them,the gilded silver-tower-shaped Sarira containers with inlaid flower on it,dating back to Sui dynasty,is the earliest silver-tower-shaped Sarira container found in China at present,which makes it very precious.These silver-tower-shaped Sarira containers have witnessed several rebuilding processes of Jing Zhi Temple from Sui dynasty to Song dynasty.They provide important examples for the researches on the rise and development of China’s silver-tower-shaped Sarira containers.
