唐宋“别纸”考论

A Study of “Bie Zhi” in Tang and Song Dynasties

"别纸"是晚唐时期非正式的骈体书信,其实质内容不多,本身就代表了一种礼节,主要作用是联络感情、拉拢关系。这一文体产生于唐末藩镇割据的历史背景下,官僚社会的壮大是其产生发展的基础。晚唐五代时期藩镇割据势力为了加强同京城高官、各方节度使以及地方实力派的联系,以寻求帮助,巩固地位,于正式的公文之外,加入了"别纸",用来寒暄客气,表示尊重与结交之意。

“Bie Zhi”is an informal syllabary letter in the late Tang Dynasty.Its substantive content is not much.It is more representative of a kind of etiquette.Its main role is to connect with feelings and draw relationships.This style was born in the historical context of the Tang Dynasty,and the growth of the bureaucratic society was the soil for its existence and development.In the late Tang and Five Dynasties,in order to strengthen the relationship with the senior officials of the capital,the festivals of the parties,and the local powers,the forces in order to strengthen the status.In addition to the official documents,there is also“Bie Zhi”,which is used to be gracious and polite,expressing respect and understanding.“Bie Zhi”is a reflection of the complicated political disputes at that time and the interpersonal relationship between the officialdoms.At the same time,this kind of syllabary letters also seems to be meaningless in the context of applying the stylistic culture.
