With abundant practical cases taking place in southwestern hinterland villages and industrial sites,this article discusses the cultural attitude of art’s engagement in society in the context of“art’s intervention in villages”,proposing“the attitude of ignorance and methods of immersion”to face the brand-new reflection on public art in the sites of Chinese cities and villages,and the methodology of aesthetic production and meaning construction of art’s engagement in society.
