摘要
克里斯多夫·皮尼教授早期对摄影人类学的研究集中在探讨摄影的本土化问题上。随后,他逐渐发现本土化的摄影实践更加丰富了这一媒介的文化内涵,进而可反哺一般性的摄影理论。在皮尼看来,摄影的人类学意义在于该媒介所具有的过剩性及丰富性——摄影图像在人们日常生活中扮演了诸多角色的同时,既承载了各种历史叙事,又开启了关于未来的无限可能。
Prof.Christopher Pinney's early research on photography Anthropology was focused on the localisation of photography.Later on,he gradually found that it was the localized photography practices that further enriched the cultural connotation of this medium,which enabled the latter to have impact on the general photography theory in return.For Pinney,the anthropological significance of photography relies on the medium's exorbitance and richness-photography images plays a number of roles in people's everyday life,bears the weight of various historical narratives,as well as opens up infinite possibilities for our future.
