From 1996 to 1998, 26 tombs belonging to the eastern Han Dynasty were discovered in the town of Dabaodang, Shenmu County, Shanxi Province. Among them, 14 tombs contained stone statues, and the stone pillars of the entrance to the tombs were carved with exquisite images of music, dance, and baixi. The article holds that the owners of the tombs belonged to the aristocracy of the Hun nationality, and the stone reliefs shows that the Hun people had a comfortable life and lived in harmony with the people of the Han nationality. This is a rare discovery in the study of music history and has extremely important academic value.
