一次经得起历史检验的会议——1979年党的理论工作务虚会回顾

A meeting that can withstand the test of history —— Review of the Party's Theoretical Work Retreat in 1979

1978年底召开的中央工作会议和党的十一届三中全会,热烈讨论并高度评价了关于真理标准问题讨论,摆出了许多情况,提出了不少问题。为统一全党的思想和认识,中央在1979年初召开了党的理论工作务虚会。会议充分发扬党内民主和实事求是、群众路线、批评和自我批评的优良作风,揭露和剖析"两个凡是",彻底否定"文化大革命",对阶级斗争等一些重要问题进行了拨乱反正,提出了社会主义社会发展阶段命题,同时总结经验并提出建设性建议,达到了弄清是非,统一认识,增强整个理论宣传队伍团结的目的。这次会议为改革开放奠定了强大的理论基础,经受了历史的检验。

The Central Working Conference and the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party held at the end of 1978 enthusiastically discussed and highly evaluated the discussion on the standard of truth, put forward many situations and raised many questions. In order to unify the thinking and understanding of the whole party, the central government held the party's theoretical work retreat in early 1979. The meeting fully carried forward the fine style of work, such as intra-party democracy, seeking truth from facts, the mass line, criticism and self-criticism, exposed and dissected "two whatevers", completely denied the "cultural revolution", brought order out of chaos in some important issues such as class struggle, proposed the proposition of social development stage of socialism, and summed up experience and proposed constructive suggestions, reaching the goal of clarifying right and wrong, unifying understanding, and strengthening the unity of the entire theoretical propaganda team. This meeting laid a strong theoretical foundation for reform and opening up and has withstood the test of history.
