Gun technology development trends in recent years were stated,including large and medium caliber ground guns using unmanned tunnel,independent operation self-propelled gun,high precision guided shell,different delivery platforms of gun,powerful gun with light chassis,various new principle guns.The trends embody the following characteristics:automation,information,intelligence,system,light and opening.This paper can help students to study the new theories and new technologies in gun and automatic weapon theory course.
