解读《喜福会》中服饰色彩隐喻的意义

通过服饰色彩配置,谭恩美在《喜福会》中成功地塑造了人物的服饰情境以此达到塑造人物性格的目的 ,小说里服装被赋予了新的寓意,表明了文化的冲突和文化身份的隐藏。本文从中西方服饰文化差异出发,基于服饰色彩隐喻的意义,分析了谭恩美《喜福会》中四位华裔母亲试图通过改变服装穿着的方式来表现对自身身份之转变的抗衡,阐释了这一举动所具有的隐喻内涵——服饰色彩在这里成为塑造人物形象的一种较有力的艺术手段。

Through the clothing color disposition,Amy Tan has successfully molded the character’s costume situation in The Joy Luck Club to achieve the goal of shaping the character.In this novel,clothing has been given a new meaning,indicating the cultural conflict and the hidden cultural identity.Based on the significance of costume color metaphor,this article starts from the cultural differences between the Western costumes and eastern costumes and analyzes the four Chinese mothers in Amy Tan’s The Joy Luck Club who try to contend with the change of their identity.
