摘要
"单身狗"作为以"XX狗"的语言形式的网络新词,在英文媒体中出现多个英译版本。基于概念隐喻理论和翻译策略,本研究分析了single dog和damn single两个版本的部分中英文媒体的使用情况和蕴含的中西方文化内涵,提出了在对待网络新词的中译英的可行性翻译对策。
As new Internet words in the form of XX Dog,there are many English versions of damn single in different social media abroad.Based on the theory of conceptual metaphor and translation strategies,this study analyzes the lexical usages well as the cultural connotations of damn single and single dog,and then presents corresponding Chinese-English translation of new Internet words.
