With an increasing tendency of internationalization in the development of higher education institutions in China,the importance of foreign affairs reception work of colleges and universities is continuously increasing.The foreign affairs reception work must uphold five principles,focus on two stages of reception,respect culture and belief of each country,and be familiar with foreign etiquette,which is the fundamental foundation of high-quality foreign affairs reception work of colleges and universities.This paper expounds the principles and the process of foreign affairs reception work,discusses how to improve the quality of foreign affairs reception work,and clarifies the connotation of foreign affairs reception work in colleges and universities.The high-quality foreign affairs reception work is an important guarantee for promoting establishment of a good international image and enhancing the internationalization process of colleges and universities.
