Wiel Arets' strategy addresses twomain issues of contemporary architecturaldiscourse: disappearance and pliability. Hisurbanism architecture may be called intensivecontextualism which means creatingpotentialities and pliability through conflictionand incorporation . His work opts for the rectilineallogic yet the deformed system in his projects isinitiated from the concept of 'rhizome'introduced by Gilles Deleuze and hisinterpretation of multitude.
