决裂与新生:解读周作人《中年》背后的时代纠葛与选择

Breaking and Rebirth:Era Complication and Choice in Zhou Zuoren’s “Middle Aged”

周作人于1930年3月所写的文章《中年》,从其同鲁迅精神与文学历程的进一步分野以及20世纪30年代周氏自己的思想选择上看,是具有标志性意义的。《中年》一文具体包含两层意思:其一,周作人在文章中借攻击鲁迅的爱情问题指责其加入左翼文学而背弃了"五四"启蒙道路;其二,周作人通过《中年》表明了自己新的思想立场与选择,即在自己中年以后"应用经验与理性去观察人情与物理"。对于《中年》一文的解读,将有助于了解当时文坛的分立与周作人思想转变等问题。

In March 1930,Zhou Zuoren’s “Middle Age” was published. It is of landmark significance from the perspective of the further division of Lu Xun’s spirit and literature course as well as his own choice of philosophy in 1920s. There are two implications in “Middle Age”. Firstly,by attacking Lu Xun’s love affair,Zhou Zuoren pointed out in his papers that he joined the left-wing literature side and abandoned “May 4th” Enlightenment road. Secondly,he manifested his new ideological position and choice which is to “use experience and reason to observe feelings and lifes” after middle age. An interpretation upon “Middle Age” is helpful to understand ups and downs in literature domain at that time and is also helpful to see Zhou Zuoren’s change of thought.
