奥斯卡·王尔德是唯美运动的引领者及先锋作家,他所崇尚的唯美主题——"艺术至上"散落其各个作品中,而其唯一一部小说《道林·格雷的画像》在表达其唯美思想上则别具一格,尤其是在线索设计上更是独唱一歌。王尔德通过两个艺术家,展开两条线索,一条是明显的,确认了的;一条却是潜藏的,理念中的。两位艺术家同时对同一艺术原型进行不同角度的打造,而最终却通过两件艺术成品的不同结局,向读者传递同一思想即"艺术至上"这一唯美永恒的主题。这一明一暗的双声调美妙地演唱唯美这支曼妙的歌。

Oscar Wilde was the leader of the aestheticism movement,as well as a pioneering writer in this group.His eulogized theme of aestheticism ―“art is supreme”was scattered in all of his works,among which The Picture of Dorian Gray,his only novel,displays the uniqueness in conveying the aesthetic ideas.What deserves our more attention is his ingenious design for the clue,that is,through two artists,two clues are developed:one is obvious and definite,the other is hidden and ideological.Two artists focus on the same artistic model in different angles yet through the two different results,the same idea―“art is supreme”is deeply ironed in readers’minds.This two-voice song of aestheticism is melodiously sung.
