Respecting History,Looking Through History and Thinking about History: Perception on the Fifty Years Study on History

历史有真相吗?搞清真相有用吗?史学家的价值导向对研究工作之意义有影响吗?笔者结合毕生治史的深切体会对上述疑问层层推进,以敬畏历史的情怀、穿透历史的胆识、感悟历史的睿智,在理性审视历史与现实的隐秘联系中,叩问历史真相、探究史学功能、重构历史研究的价值导向,提出:思辨历史学仍可存在,但批判历史学应该登场!由此,进一步讨论历史著述和教学应该遵循的原则,由浅入深、由小到大步步深入历史底蕴。

Does history have truth? Is it useful to find out the truth? Does the historian s value orientation influence the meaning of research work?The author of this article combined his profound experience in the treatment of his life to analyse the above questions.With a sense of respect for history, the courage of looking through history, the intelligence of thinking about history, and rationally examining the hidden connection between history and reality, the truth of history, the function of historical study and the reconstruction of the value guidance of historical study can be figured out. The conclusion is that critical historical study should be encouraged while keeping speculative historical study. Based on this conclusion, the author further discussed historical writings and the principles which teaching should follow, so as to explore history in depth from shallow to deep and from small to big.
