Midnight Dreams: Retrospective Thoughts on Non-professional Drama History Research

本文围绕寻找戏剧史就是为自己寻找精神支撑这一中心题旨,回顾四十年来的治学经历,总结了一些个人的经验教训,其中包括对戏剧史实质上是综合的艺术史和特殊的思想史、中国话剧史在精神特质上存在两重性、20世纪40年代中国话剧史的研究原则等学科认知,以及“打通”“互证”等中国话剧史研究与戏曲史研究的治学路径。

This article focuses on the central theme “the search for the history of drama is to find the spiritual support”, reviewing the academic experience of forty years to sum up some personal lessons.These include discussion on topics that the history of the drama is the comprehensive history of art and special thoughts, the Chinese drama history has duality in the spiritual traits, and the research principles of the Chinese drama history in the 1940s, as well as the study path of Chinese modern drama and Chinese traditional drama history such as “getting through” and “proving each other”.
