作者认为,戏剧《雷雨》没有重点描写社会结构矛盾与阶级斗争,而是通过刻画人物的内心世界来实现其深刻性与普遍性的。《雷雨》中的悲剧发生在现在、十年前与四十年前三个时间轴上,是一个环形结构,其基础是“遗传”与“旧习”,其本质是人类无法逃脱的命运悲剧。对于这一悲剧的救赎,只有可能出现在鲁大海身上。

In the author's opinion,the drama Thunderstorm does not focus on the contradiction of social structure and class struggle,but realizes its profound and universality by portraying the inner world of the characters.The tragedy of Thunderstorm happens in three-time axes,which are now,ten years ago,and forty years ago.The whole story goes as a ring structure,and it all starts with“genetic”and the“old ways”.Characters in this tragedy can't escape from the fate.The salvation of this tragedy is only possible to be made by Lu Dahai.
