By using the method of literature reviews, this paper discusses the development experience of Japanese Kendo and provides a reference for the development on Chinese short-arms movement. The main conclusions are as follows: Japanese Kendo always adheres to the cultural inheritance of the spirit of Kendo;The development of Kendo relies on the cooperation from variety of social forms. Enlightenment to China: To strengthen the standardization construction of Chinese short-arms project for the highlight of national characteristics of Chinese Wushu;match the market demand and improve the systematization of Chinese short-arms project;establish the promotion mechanism of multi-dimensional linkage of Chinese short-arms movement to respond to the national strategy;strengthen the connotation construction of Chinese short-arms project and give full play to its multiple functions and values.
