五四运动:文化自信历程中的重要里程碑

The May Fourth Movement:an Important Milestone in the Progress of Cultural Confidence

近年来,否定五四运动的思潮逐渐成为历史虚无主义思潮中的一种表现。要么否定五四运动之后的整个历史进步,要么只承认历史进步,否认文化进步,这大概是各种否定五四运动的思潮或观点难以逃离的窠臼。从马克思主义的观点来看,五四运动以来中国的历史进步和文化进步是一个统一的历史进程。新民主主义的文化创造逐渐成为主流,引领中国文化拐过文化自信丧失的最低点,一步步昂扬向上地重新走上文化自信的历程。在这个意义上,五四运动是近代以来中华民族文化自信历程中的重要里程碑。纪念五四运动100周年,我们要以习近平总书记关于文化自信的重要论述为指导,沿着五四运动开启的文化自信历程继续前进。

Recently the denial of the May Fourth Movement has been an increasingly apparent tide in the ideological trend of nihilism.Either denying the progress of the entire history after the May Fourth Movement or denying the cultural progress while merely recognizing the historical progress,this is a set pattern from which it is difficult for the various kinds of ideological trends or arguments denying the May Fourth Movement to break away.Seen from the point of Marxism,the historical progress and the cultural progress of China as of the May Fourth Movement consist of a unified historical process.The cultural creation of new democracy has gradually become the main stream,which leads the Chinese cultural to overcome the low tide of lost cultural confidence and acquire the cultural confidence once again step by step.In this sense,the May Fourth Movement is an important milestone in the process of national confidence since the early modern age.To memorize the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement,we should,under the guide of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important statement on cultural confidence,move on along the road of cultural confidence created by the movement.
