摘要
液晶显示器的功耗水平一直备受行业关注,特别是在移动设备上。本文提出了一种基于线性规划的液晶显示器背光光谱优化算法,实现了在色域符合标准的前提下最大化背光光效的目标。优化背光光谱以脉冲分布的形式将频谱分量集中于若干特征波长位置附近的窄带范围内。实际应用中,利用激光、量子点材料等窄带宽光源对这些特征波长位置及带宽进行模拟与复现,将更易于逼近理想优化光谱并达到光效极大值。
The power consumption of an active matrix liquid crystal display (AMLCD) always attracts enough attention from industry, especially on mobile devices. A promoted spectrum distribution of AMLCD backlight unit was proposed in this paper based on linear programming to reach the maximum luminous efficiency when reproducing a standard gamut. The optimized spectrum concentrates the spectral energy within a narrow band around several wavelengths in a pulse form. By applying laser or quantum dot (QD) material in AMLCD backlight, a closer simulation of the optimized spectrum can be obtained in real situation to reach a lower power consumption.
