Deepening Teaching Reform: Achievements and Challenges

教学改革是教育工作的永恒主题,是一项系统工程,推进教学改革是每一位教育人应尽的职责。江苏省基础教育教学改革近年来取得了显著成绩,主要表现在:教学改革创新成果卓著,新型课程体系初步形成,教学方式变革亮点纷呈,学生发展质量得到提升。同时也面临着落实立德树人根本任务,教师专业能力不足,均衡化提升教学质量,根本改变传统教学关系等诸多挑战。全面推进江苏基础教育教学改革,需要在聚焦学生、聚焦教师、聚焦课堂教学、聚焦项目、聚焦区域等方面下功夫,解决好其中的突出问题。

Teaching reform is the perennial topic of education and a systematic project, and it is every educator’s duty to promote teaching reform. Teaching reform in Jiangsu basic education has achieved great success in teaching reform and innovation in recent years: new curriculum systems have gradually come into being and there are some highlights in teaching style reform. Students’ developmental quality has been improved greatly as well. However, we still face various challenges such as implementing the fundamental task of enhancing morality and fostering talents, teachers’ shortage of professional competence, balanced promotion of teaching qualities, and basically changing traditional teaching relationships. To comprehensively promote educational reform in Jiangsu province, we need to focus on students, teachers, classroom teaching, projects and regions to solve the critical problems.
