Prospects for methanol alternative fuel apply to passenger vehicles

文章简要介绍了国内外甲醇代用燃料在汽车上应用的历程,从甲醇燃料特性以及在汽车上应用的优缺点进行论述。当前,国内在大力推进甲醇代用燃料的应用,部分省市正在进行甲醇汽车的试点工作,但甲醇代用燃料在乘用车上的应用仍存在一定的局限性。

This paper briefly introduces the application of methanol alternative fuel in automobiles, in domestic and foreign markets, and discusses the fuel characteristics of methanol and the advantages and disadvantages of its application in automobiles. Some domestic institutions are vigorously promoting the application of methanol alternative fuel. Some provinces and cities in China are conducting pilot projects for methanol vehicles, but the application of methanol alterna -tive fuel on passenger vehicles still has some limitations.
