As a group of the Han people, the Hakka has historically moved from the Central Plains to the south, and has been rehabilitated in the areas of Jiangxi,Fujian, and Guangdong, and has then spread overseas. Thus the“Central Plains-Edge-Overseas”has also been branded with distinct political geography, which was vividly reflected in their cultural identity and ethnic identity. The construction events of“the ancestral land of the Hakka”in Ninghua,Fujian Province reflect the various characteristics of their“homeland country”.By using old data and taking political-cultural geography as the starting point, this article discusses the role and influence of the“center-edge”on the Hakka culture and the ethnic identity of the Hakka group.
