Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese acupoint application in the treatment of diabetic neurogenic bladder (kidney-yang deficiency type). Methods 60 patients with diabetic neurogenic bladder (kidney-yang deficiency type) who admitted to our hospital from July 2016 to July 2018 were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group by digital table, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine Yiqi Wenyang acupoint application. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores and bladder residual urine volume before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results Bladder residual urine volume data of the two groups before treatment were statistically similar, with no statistically significant (P>0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate of clinical treatment was 93.33%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (73.33%). The TCM syndrome scores and residual bladder urine volume of patients were significantly lower than those of the control group. The data between the groups were significantly different, which was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The kidney-yang deficiency type of diabetes-derived neurogenic bladder has a clear effect on the treatment of acupoints with temperature and temperature, which can effectively reduce the residual urine volume of the bladder, and is worth promoting.
