New English Scholarship on Chinese Cinema in the 21^(st) Century

本文介绍新世纪英语学术界的中国电影研究,以2010年以来的学者个人专著和编辑的论文集为重点。为了整体把握最新的学科发展,本文分七个部分描述:学科概览、电影史兼早期电影、当代电影、纪录片研究、明星/导演研究、跨区产业研究、跨媒体研究。结语部分简述有待进一步研究的部分课题。

This article provides an overview of new English scholarship on Chinese cinema in the 21 st century, focusing on individual scholars’ monographs and edited volumes of research articles since 2010. The overview is divided into seven sections: state-of-the field surveys, film history and early cinema, contemporary cinema, documentary film, stars/directors, transregional industries, cross-media studies. The conclusion briefly touches on topics in need of further research.
