摘要
根据壁画榜题痕迹,对敦煌莫高窟第419窟须大拏本生图中约50处情节进行了重新整理。针对图像中新发现的几处线索,参考南传本生经,推测在《太子须大拏经》之外,此图很可能还受到某些部派佛典或图像的影响,个别仅出现于敦煌的画面应是本地画师的独特创制。敦煌须大拏图像中普遍缺失"布施妻子"的画面,应是石窟营造者在引入外来佛教文化时,为避免某些可能发生的观念冲突而舍弃所致。
Based on traces from an accompanying inscribed cartouche, this paper reorganizes nearly 50 plots found in images of the Sudāna Jataka in Mogao cave 419. In the light of several newly discovered clues regarding this illustration, and by reference to the Jatakas from the Pali Canon, the author conjectures that the images of Sudāna in Dunhuang were most likely influenced by the scriptures or images of certain early Buddhist schools,and that a few detailed images found only in Dunhuang art were a unique creation of local artists. From the general absence of the image of "giving his wife" in the illustrations of Dunhuang it is conjectured that this theme was omitted by the cave-makers in order to avoid ideological conflicts when introducing foreign Buddhist culture.
