Richard J. Cox is a leading figure of Archival Science in the United States. This paper refines and sums up core contents of Cox' s ideas on archival education, which attach importance to the theory education of Archival Science, the construction of full-time teaching team, and the communication and integration within and outside Archival Science. Cox also put these ideas into practice and made an important contribution to Archival Science education . The educational community of Archival Science in our country can also obtain some inspirations that we should pay attention to core theories of Archival Science in the interdisciplinary research, strengthen the training of talents and promote the coordinated development of teaching, research and management.
