Logic of Technology: Strong and Weak Artificial Intelligence and the Ethics

人工智能作为一项新技术给社会带来新的变革,但是各界对人工智能是什么却存在诸多误解。在人工智能的概念并不明晰的情况下探讨其伦理问题,自然不合适。人工智能应分清强人工智能和弱人工智能。拥有自我意识的强人工智能目前并不确定是否能实现,而无自我意识的弱人工智能跟其他互联网技术并无本质差别,是一种工具。而作为工具使用时,弱人工智能需要警惕数据真实性问题、个人隐私安全问题和算法价值偏向问题。

As a new technology,artificial intelligence brings new changes to the society,but there are many misunderstandings about what artificial intelligence is.It is not appropriate to discuss the ethics of artificial intelligence when its concept is not clear.AI are distinguished between strong AI and weak AI.Strong artificial intelligence with self-awareness is not sure whether it can be achieved at present,and the artificial intelligence without self-awareness is not fundamentally different from other Internet technologies,but is a tool.When used as a tool,the weak AI needs to be alert to the data authenticity,personal privacy and security issues,and algorithm value bias.
