Promoting the Effective Integration of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture and the Spirit of Volunteering

中国优秀传统文化与志愿服务精神一向都是紧密结合的。《易经》有"天地之大德曰生"的说法;儒家讲求"仁者爱人";道家讲究"泛爱";墨家讲究"兼爱非攻";佛家讲究"慈悲为怀"。这些中国优秀传统文化的精髓与中国青年志愿者协会提出的"奉献、友爱、互助、进步"的志愿服务精神有着共同的思想和追求。志愿服务是中国传统文化的传承,要想大力弘扬奉献、友爱、互助、进步的志愿精神,就要在弘扬中华传统美德上下功夫,在营造社会氛围上下功夫,培育"我为人人、人人为我"的社会风尚。我们要把中国优秀传统文化的精髓,渗透到高校志愿服务活动中去。

Chinese excellent traditional culture and the spirit of voluntary service have always been closely combined. The Book of Changes has the saying that "The greatest morality between heaven and earth is the life";Confucianism emphasizes "the benevolent loves others";Taoism emphasizes "the universal love";Mohist emphasizes "Love all people and don't fight";Buddhism emphasizes "Charity and compassion are fundamental". The essence of Chinese excellent traditional culture and the voluntary service spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual help and progress" proposed by China youth volunteer association have the same ideas and pursuits. The voluntary service is the heritage of Chinese traditional culture. To promote the spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual help and progress", we must work hard to promote traditional Chinese virtues and create a kind social atmosphere. And we should foster social ethos of "One for all and all for one".We should carry forward the essence of Chinese excellent traditional culture to the voluntary service activities of colleges and universities.
