《文心雕龙》是刘勰创作的文学理论巨著。作为全书开篇的《原道》起着提纲挈领的作用,对于理解整部书有着重要意义。在理解《原道》之前首先应理解其中"道"的含义。由于时代思潮的影响,刘勰在写作时带有浓厚的时代色彩。刘勰生活于佛道儒合流的时代,所以《原道》篇蕴含着复杂的思想。若从社会思潮以及刘勰经历对"道"追本溯源,则会理解"道"中复杂的思想内涵。

WenXinDiaoLong is Liu Xie’s masterpiece of systematic literary theory. As the beginning of the whole book, the YuanDao has the function of outlining and leading, which is of great significance for understanding the whole book. Before we understand the YuanDao, we should first understand the meaning of Dao. Because of the influence of the trend of thought at that time, there are features of the age in Liu Xie’s thesis. Liu Xie lived in the era of confluence of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, so the YuanDao contains complex ideas. If we trace the origin of Dao from the social trend of thought and Liu Xie’s experiences, we will understand the complex ideological connotation of Dao.
