摘要
就梁启超对儒学与西方科学的态度而言,早期梁启超持"儒学本位"主义立场,认为治天下当以儒学为主,以科学为辅;中期梁启超持"科学万能"主义态度,崇尚科学并站在科学的立场来评判儒学;后期梁启超在经过多年的反思与沉淀之后,逐渐意识到了二者的界限,认为儒学以人生问题为旨趣而科学以客观知识为归宿,二者不可相互取代。梁启超对儒学与西方科学的态度及其演变轨迹,不仅深刻地反映了晚清思想界在中西比较领域的理论走向,同时也深刻地启发了后人在这个问题上的进一步思考。在儒学复兴深入人心的今天,这样的思考同样具有重要意义。
As far as Liang Qichao’s attitude towards Confucianism and Western science is concerned,in the early period,Liang Qichao held a "Confucianism Standard"position and thought that Confucianism should be regarded as the doctrine and science as a vassal in governing the world;In the middle period,Liang Qichao held the attitude of "science omnipotence",advocated science and judged Confucianism from the standpoint of science. After many years of reflection,Liang Qichao gradually realized the boundary of the two. He thought that Confucianism takes the question of life as its purport,the objective knowledge is the result of science,and the two cannot be replaced by each other. The evolution of Liang Qichao’s attitude toward Confucianism and Western science not only profoundly reflects the theoretical trend of the late Qing ideological circles in the field of comparison between China and the West,but also profoundly inspires the future generations to think further about this issue. Such a reflection is also of great significance in the revival of Confucianism today.
