A Review on the Studies about Zhang Xuecheng by Japanese Scholars

20世纪日本学者关于章学诚的研究,主要有内藤虎次郎《章实斋先生年谱》《章学诚的史学》,冈崎文夫《章学诚的史学大要》,百濑弘的"章学诚传",冈崎文夫《章学诚-其人和其学》,三田村泰助《章学诚"史学"的立场》,高田淳《关于章学诚的史学思想》,河田悌一《清代学术的一个侧面》等,这些成果对章学诚的生平及其学术思想、学术贡献等,做了多方面研究,是章学诚研究史上不可忽视的重要成就。

During the 20 th century,Japanese scholars made much contribution to the studies about Zhang Xuecheng,e.g.The Chronological Biography of Zhang Xuecheng and The Historiography of Zhang Xuecheng by NaitōTorajirō,An introduction to the Historiography of Zhang Xuecheng and The Life and Scholarship of Zhang Xuecheng by Okazaki Wenfu,The Biography of Zhang Xuecheng by Momose Hiromu,The Viewpoint of Zhang Xuecheng on Historiography by Mitamura Yasusuke,and The Historical Conception of Zhang Xuecheng by Takada Jun,as well as A Side Profile of the Qing Scholarship by Kawada Teiichi,etc.The above-mentioned works had contributed quite a lot to the studies on the life,the academic thought and the academic performance of Zhang Xuecheng.In a word,their contributions were quite remarkable and should not be neglected in the history of studies about Zhang Xuecheng.
