The Location Choices of New Enterprises in China's Manufacturing——Micro Data from 284 Prefectural Cities

本文以284个地级市作为备选空间单位,利用负二项回归模型,结合新型工业化与信息化水平迅速发展的时代背景,深入探讨了2005—2013年中国制造业新建企业区位选择的影响因素。主要结论表明,国内经济环境、科技水平和信息化三大因素对新制造企业选址具有重要影响,然而,不同地区企业选址的影响因素差异很大。沿海东部地区依托优良的经济环境与较高的科技与信息化水平强有力地吸引着新建企业落户;中部地区凭借产业集聚的推动、对外开放进程的深化与科技水平的提升,吸引着企业进行区位选择;资金投入是西部地区企业区位选择最重要的影响因素。

Taking 284 prefecture-level cities as space units,this paper analyzes the factors that influence the location choices of new manufacturing enterprises by using negative binomial regression model,within a period of rapid advancement in industrialization and informatization level.The major conclusion is that domestic economic atmosphere,scientific and technological level and informatization are the most important factors for the location choices of these enterprises.Furthermore,these factors vary greatly for enterprises in different locations.Eastern coastal areas have strong appeal to many innovative enterprises through its sound economic atmosphere and relatively high level of technological and informatization level.The attraction of central China for manufacturing enterprises is attributed to the promotion effect of industrial aggregation,depth of progress of opening up and technological level.For western China,the input of capital is the key to that.
