唐代中原与西域文化交流的意义——以吐鲁番出土文书为中心

Significance of Cultural Exchange between Central Plains and Western Regions in the Tang Dynasty——A Study Based on the Unearthed Turpan Manuscripts

唐朝与西域文化交流活动频繁。文化交流活动的发生,其主要方向是由唐向西域输出,但偶尔也有从西域向唐输出的现象。文化交流符合双方的既定利益,从唐朝方面看,是怀柔羁縻、华夷平等的民族政策的需要。从西域方面看,接受唐输出的文化是一种政治臣服的政治姿态,也是一种利于地区发展的强国需求。文化交流活动对唐和西域产生了重要影响:一是促进两地文化的互动与融合;二是推动唐诗迅速传播;三是为文献校勘和文学研究提供史料。

Cultural exchange between central plains and western regions in the Tang Dynasty is frequent.The cultural exchange activities mainly lie in the output from central plains to western regions,and occasionally from the western regions to central plains.Cultural exchange is in line with the established interests of both sides.From the perspective of the Tang Empire,it is a necessary national policy showing political rapprochement and national equality;from the perspective of western regions,accepting the exported culture is a sign of submission,and also a strong demand for regional development.Cultural exchange exerts an important impact on the Tang Empire and western regions on the following three aspects,namely,promoting the interaction and integration of the two cultures,boosting the rapid spread of Tang poetry,and providing historical materials for literature collation and literary studies.
