This paper introduces the construction process of the River View Service Station at Eastbund, Pudong, Shanghai, from architectural design, rapid construction to coming into service. The service stations,as urban infrastructures, integrate with the topography and landscape and work as a dynamic public space that supports everyday life. We hope that River View Service Station can encourage free use of the space by the public, stimulate occurrence of events and interaction of communities, and enhance the experience of the Huangpu River.
