Based on the collected information of the world s plastics industry from July 2017 to June 2018,this paper introduced the developments of the world s plastics industry from 2017 to 2018.It provided the production and consumption of the world s plastics,as well as the demand for the different types of resin and capacity situation.In the order of thermoplastic resin(polyethylene,polypropylene,polyvinyl chloride,polystyrene and styrene copolymer),it detailed the production,consumption,supply-demand,and synthetic technology of the resin,and indicated the application development of the product and the extension of the resin varieties and applications.
