The Countermeasures of Commercial Banks amid the Accelerated Opening up of Markets

近期中美贸易谈判结果显示紧张态势有所缓和,美国表态将推迟原定于2019年3月1日上调中国输美商品关税的计划。但根据中美两国未来政治经济形势及贸易格局新特点,国内商业银行受到的影响将越来越显著,主要体现在:对外资开放步伐加快进一步压缩其盈利空间、境外监管强化背景下境外经营不确定性有所提升等方面。文章就此提出相关对策建议。

The latest China-US trade talks indicated that the trade tensions between the two countries have been eased. The US government said to postpone the tariff hikes on Chinese exports to the US planned to be introduced on 1 March 2019. However, considering the future development of the political and economic situations and the new trade pattern between the two countries, the impacts on the commercial banks of China will be increasingly significant, which are mainly reflected in: the accelerated opening up to foreign capitals will further squeeze the profit margins of banks, and the strengthened supervision in the overseas markets will make the performance of banks’ overseas businesses even more uncertain. The paper puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.
