A Visual Grammar-based Analysis of the Official Emblem of the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games

Based on Visual Grammar,the Official Emblem of the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games is examined in terms of representational meaning,interactive meaning and compositional meaning and how to carry realities of society and culture combined with social cultural context to interpret its special cultural connotation.It′s founded that firstly the Visual Grammar is effective for the analysis of the emblem;secondly the words,images,colors,layout and other multimodal semiotics of the emblem coordinate with each other in constructing complete meaning;finally it shows that the emblem is the integration of national culture symbol and modernization and it sincerely embodies the development of the great era.
