摘要
牡丹在中国传统文化中象征着世俗世界的美。它所拥有的"富贵"之意是对今世生活的高度概括。回族在艺术中借用和重塑了牡丹符号,彰显出两种文化在小传统层面的对话。被重塑后的牡丹符号在世俗层面呈现着回族对今世生活的追求,在神圣层面则是对后世乐园意象的隐喻,二者共同体现了回族"两世吉庆"的人生哲学。
Peony is the symbol of secular beauty in Chinese tradition.It expresses the value of riches and honor among the present life.By borrowing and refiguring this symbol in the arts of the Hui people,a cultural dialogue on the level of little tradition or grass-roots society can be seen.According to the Islamic philosophy of the present and after life,the symbol of peony now has two levels:on the secular level it represents the pursuit of the present life while on the sacred level it is a metaphor of the paradise.
