Gilman constructs an ideal habitat for females in her feminist utopia novel Herland. From the perspective of ecological feminism, she reforms the clothing, space and ecological environment in her work, which frees females from the shackles and the tradi-tional clothing and the confinement of space to enjoy the harmonious natural environment and bond with nature.
