Research Overview of the New Revolutionary History Theory During the Last Decade

"新革命史"理论无疑是近年来中国革命史研究领域中的一个亮点。传统革命史观因其自身理论局限曾一度遭遇冷落,但革命史在整个中国近代史甚至世界近代史上占有重要地位,中国革命史研究"无法也不可能告别"。李金铮、夏明方、左玉河、王奇生等著名学者,反思传统革命史观,从社会、文化等视角下,运用新的理念、方法研究中国革命史,提出并建构"新革命史"理论框架。

The new era calls for new theory. There is no doubt that the new revolutionary history theory is a highlight in the research field of Chinese revolutionary history. The traditional view ever suffered cold shoulder because of its theoretical limitations, but revolutionary history occupied an important position in modern China even in modern world, so saying goodbye to studies in Chinese revolutionary history is impossible. After rethinking the traditional views, these famous scholars, like Li Jinzheng, Xia Mingfang, Zuo Yuhe,Wang Qisheng, etc, study Chinese revolutionary history by using new ideas and methods from the social and cultural perspectives, then they put forward and construct the theory of new revolutionary history. This essay is about inspecting the construction of this new theory. Prefessor Li Jinzheng of Nankai University is the earliest author and practitioner, so this essay focuses on his viewpoint, and then carry out the investigation.
