2018年,我们可以从纷繁现象中感受到新时代美术的跃动脉搏。中国在改革开放40年经验基础上,对美术事业提出了新时代发展的新要求。2018年8月30日,习近平总书记在给中央美术学院八位老教授的回信中,强调了美育和艺术教育的作用,纪念性美术活动的增办和体制影响力下中国美术的发展等都体现了国家和政府对美术创作的重视。这一年的美术热点主要体现在传承经典、切入当代、国际交流的增加和"双一流"背景下美术教育的加强等方面。

We can feel the pulse of fine arts in the new era from complicated phenomena in 2018. Based on the experience of the past 40 years, new requirements were put forward for fine arts in the new era. On 30 August, 2018, General Secretary Xi jinping wrote in the reply to eight senior professors in Central Academy of Fine Arts that the role of aesthetic education and arts education should be emphasized. The increase of memorial fine arts activities and the development of Chinese fine arts under the influence of the system all demonstrate that the state and government pay attention to fine arts creation. The hot spots of fine arts can be seen in the increase in the inheritance of the classics and the international exchange connected to contemporaneity, as well as the strengthening of fine arts education in the context of the “double first-class construction”.
