The Value of Chinese Translation of Western Fairy Tales from the Perspective of Social and Historical Analysis:Take Grimm's Fairy Tales for Example

从社会历史分析的角度看,西方童话被赋予了社会价值。例如,格林童话在德国、英国的传播中,其儿童教育价值经历了否定到肯定;格林童话在德国被赋予民族文化的价值,并且曾经与政治相结合。近代西方童话在中国的翻译,是与近代中国文化思潮相呼应的,并且成为近代中国文化思潮的外来资源。西方童话在近代中国的新民思潮中发挥了作用。

From the perspective of social and historical analysis,western fairy tales were endowed with social values.For example,in the spreading of Grimm’s fairy tales in Germany and Britain,their values of children’s education used to be negative and later positive.Grimm’s fairy tales were given national cultural value in Germany and were once combined with politics.The translation of modern western fairy tales in China reflected the ideological trend about culture in modern China,and became its external resource of the ideological trend about modern Chinese culture.Western fairy tales played a role in the ideological trend of the new citizens in modern China.
