A Study on Nursery Care Organization in Guangzhou in the Great Leap Forward Period

"大跃进"时期,中共为实现生产全民化、生活集体化和家务劳动社会化,在全国各地兴办了大量托儿组织。托儿组织的兴办,解放了大批妇女,为工业发展提供了劳动力,加快了对城市基层的改造,增强了群众对集体主义、共产主义的政治认同。广州市民办托儿组织在领导关系、资金来源、师资情况、卫生制度等方面具有鲜明的时代特点,其运行情况对解决当前城市托儿问题具有一定的参考价值。

In order to realize the nationalization of production,collectivization of life and socialization of housework,the Communist Party of China set up a large number of nursery care organizations throughout the country in the Great Leap Forward period.The establishment of nursery care organizations has liberated a large number of women,which provided labor for industrial development,accelerated the transformation of urban grassroots units,and enhanced the political identity of the masses towards collectivism and communism.The non-governmental nursery care organizations in Guangzhou have distinct characteristics of the times in terms of leadership,funding sources,teaching staff and hygienic system,and their operation has a certain reference value for solving the current urban nursery care problems.
